The franchise’s notion has been built upon via the medium of design keeping the grounding thought consistent – the scheme of spaces shall propel its clientele to create, explore and innovate in an environment tailored to suit their every need.
Kafnu’s essence has been conjured to life with a keen sensitivity towards the Indian end user-base, one which celebrates our roots while representing them globally. A culmination of tradition, hues, patterns, textures and rich materiality – Kafnu is a play on the senses that reiterates why India is the quintessential location for this venture.
The material palette forms a compelling segment of the design narrative at Kafnu. Locally available and sourced materials establish the ingenious nature of the space while making it adept for its global clientele. Leather Granite, Rubberwood and exposed Concrete come together to create a modern-industrial demeanour. Oxide paints on the wall surfaces take inspiration from ‘Neel’ (Indigo) which is synonymous with our heritage and craft. Channapatna craftsmanship can be seen in details like railing designs which are an ode to the geographical craft of the specific district in Karnataka. An array of Ikat and Chevron pattern work makes their presence felt through curated surfaces like rugs and upholstery fabrics.
Spatially Kafnu has struck an equilibrium amongst shared communal spaces and private dedicated work zones. The private set of spaces allows collaborators to amplify productivity in the form of 17 flexible Studio Pods of various capacities as well as 3 Formal Meeting Rooms placed at strategic positions. The shared spaces in the layout reinforce the environment to be one where entrepreneurs can interact and grow in a mentally stimulated setup.
The core gathering zones like the cafeteria is also open to the public and introduces a varied footfall into the space. The common areas are enveloped by lush green outdoor views which removes the office space far from the bracket of stark stereotypical corporate design infrastructure.
Kafnu is the amalgamation of needs, functions and marks the new journey of an establishment in the thriving metropolitan city of Bangalore which finds its roots in a highly layered design sensibility.
