The design for Amara – The Boutique is an amalgamation of Indian heritage and modern elements.
The word ‘Amara’ embodies the feeling of eternal grace. The driving notion behind the design genesis of this retail boutique store stemmed from the urge to bring together varied design sensibilities under one roof with accessibility. Located in an opulent neighbourhood of Vadodara, the boutique has a pivotal contextual presence that allows clients to experience multi-designer couture at a one-stop destination.
Amara makes the concept of fashion ‘accessible’ at an intrinsic level and has been curated with keen attention to detail. The store has been conceptualised by Design Studio Associates, and embodies the core values of classical Indian heritage, amalgamated with the modern elements of the present. The ambience of the boutique is meant to evoke the sense of a gallery where the garments displayed are sheer works of art. The 1,127 sq-ft spread of spaces at Amara is built on the experiential value of the boutique.
The coalition of deep reds, warm greys & artistic wallpapers adds to the aesthetic quotient of the space. Ornate arches, jaali work and carved carpentry contribute to the timelessness of the space, whilst also creating a unique identity for it. The store possesses a nuanced milieu to provide clients with an elevated retail experience.
